I know that this complaint will not receive a positive reply from MTN, but at least it is on record to help all those other unhappy customers. It is amazing to check the Hello Peter stats on MTN. There are 411 pages (12330 lines/customer entries). On the first 5 pages there are only 4 happy faces, so that equates to 2.6% customers are happy with MTN and they want to be # 1 in South Africa. I upgraded to IP5 on 12 May from Blackberry which included BIS. When I walked out of MTN Morningside my BIS was disconnected, I now notice on my billing for May & June I have been charged R51.75 for both months. I went to MTN Morningside and asked the question as to why I am been charged BIS on a IP5 package. The reply was that the person (not consultant) who did the upgrade should have removed the BIS. Surly this would be a default action. There was no apology or any sign of acceptance of MTN's negligence. This is quite simple, if the Customer does not check, MTN will continue to from their faithful CUSTOMERS-reference 2335797 referers to my query. I have already started to reduce my dependence on MTN. 1 contract cancelled and waiting for 4 data contracts to expire.
