Canelled contract early without authorisation

On 28 April 2013 I phoned the call centre of Vodacom to port my number on 30 June as I was advised that the contract ends on 2 July 2013 and that I could port to another network end of June.

I phone the call centre on Friday 28 June to confirm that my number will be ported on 30 June and also received a sms confirming this date. I arranged for my contract with the new service provider to be active from 1 July 2013 and my phone and sim will be delivered to me on 1 July 2013.

When I wanted to use my phone on 29 June I just got the message saying my contract has been suspended. I went into the shop where I had to wait for them to phone the call centre. They said that the number has been ported on 28 June. I will now be without a phone for 2 days because Vodacom has cancelled my contract and ported my number on a date I did not agree to. The staff in the shop just say they can't do anything. I will only get my new sim and phone on 1 July and can not do anything. They just don't care.

This is exactly why I am leaving Vodacom - poor services and no-one willing to help. Do not try to phone me to reply, due to Vodacom I'm offline...
