During February this year I received a phone call from a MTN consultant telling me that I am due for an upgrade on my account. This was strange to me because my account is due for an upgrade in November only. I was not interested immediately because I could not get the phone that I wanted at that time. The lady told me that I could wait a few months and then ask again. I went to the branch in Richardsbay while we were there on holiday and the lady went on the system and told me that I could upgrade according to the system but seeing that I did not have my ID document with me I had to come beck the next day. When I came back they told me that I was not due for an upgrade and that there was no record of any conversation of such a thing anywhere.
That left there, I received another call from MTN about 3 weeks ago telling me the same thing and I made the upgrade telephonically at the same time. The consultant told me that my phone would be delivered within 14 days, but nothing arrived yet. An amount of R217.41 has been deducted from my account on 31 May 2013 ref: A27046970095170422. I called again today and got the same response, that there is no record of such a conversation!!!
