Unfair billing due to lack of correspondence

I had a cell c contract years ago & I am now unsure whether they cancelled my contract as would be expected. I recently received a letter informing me that I owe Cell C an amount of R510.33 and threatening to black list me if they don't receive payment by the 25 June 2013, account number 00239219. After years of not using this service and not receiving any correspondence from the service provider informing me about outstanding fees. This I find totally unacceptable from cell c & i am prepared to take this to the Ombudsman if unresolved and request that a full investigation gets done as my address has not changed and i am unaware of receiving statements to reflect this, when my contract was valid I had a debit order on my saving s account and once this contract was cancelled no amount went off from my account. I tried calling the customer care line on 19 June at 18h49 pm and spoke to the call centre agent who assured me that the supervisor by the name of Ivor Petersen will call me back regarding my complaint as she could not see anything on her system indicating that there was an outstanding amount due & confirmed my address detail to be correct to date I have not received a call.
