Telkom's service is a disgrace For a few years now i have been using prepaid for my house phone but then at the end of last year i really needed internet so i went to Telkom whereby i was told that i have to change my phone to a normal line so i did that and paid for a 1mb ADSL line from them i then paid for 1mb package from my service provider once everything was set up i found that my ADSL light on my modem was not stable i called Telkom from the 20th of Dec till the end and eventually my light was stable and could access the internet when checking my modem status it showed that i was running on a 512 upload and 256 download speed i called Telkom and asked the consultants what is my speed they told me 1024 i told them but my modem says its running on 512 and 256 they never helped me just logged faults i continued calling for days non stop they put me through to exchange i asked the guy the speed he said 512 i said then why consultants and said 1024 he told me oh no sorry it is 1024 then few days later i was told i stay too far from exchange that why iv got poor internet ever since the beginning of January my speed changes never 1024 currently its 256kbps upload and download
