Technical problems with porting

It's a week since I went to MTN to open a new contract. This required porting an old Vodacom number. To date, Vodacom has been unable to port the number, due to the fact that the number had an airtime advance on it - Excuse no.1. I was then told, twice or even thrice, that the airtime advance had been cancelled and the port should go through. After numerous attempts from MTN, the porting failed, which means that Vodacom failed, several times. On Friday morning, we were told that MTN can try to port again at 14h00. At 15h00 afternoon, after several queries, only then was the issues being escalated.
Today, Vodacom says they are having difficulties sorting out the port and they will let us know when it is done. This is unacceptable and I would like for this to be treated as a matter of urgency.
