Cell-C has been deducting a debit order from my bank account. After going to the Cell-C Branch at Bayside Mall, it turns out that someone signed a contract, giving my bank account number. Cell-C never confirmed with the Bank (FNB), and I have never had any account with Cell-C. After going to the bank on numerous occasions to stop the debit order, Cell-C only changed the reference number, and the debit order keeps going off.
I went to Cell-C customer services to report the matter, with a signed affidavit, stating that I have never given permission for any person to use my account for a Cell-C debit order, and providing bank statements to show the debit order, but still nothing has been done to resolve the matter. This debit order has been going off since December 2012.
