Moving from Contract to Prepaid

After being a contract customer of Vodacom for many years (7-10) I decided to change to prepaid. I contacted Vodacom and it was confirmed I'd be moved to prepaid today via email, and that I need to recharge within 2 days. Today I checked my phone and Vodacom website - it states I am on prepaid, but I cannot recharge (I tried through FNB R275), I cannot buy airtime on Vodacom website nor data, I cannot even phone the help line... I had to go to Vodacom shop and they state I need to have my phone off for 24 hours - why was this not told to me in my request to transfer when they told me it would be done today. Is Vodacom going to refund me the lost business I am losing today for not being able to use my phone???!!! Total rubbish... Not keeping their word per the email... time to consider another network... According to Moneyweb they've lost over 300, 000 prepaid customers - I can see why.
