Contract activation and Number porting

I applied for a contract on 25th May 2013, on the 27th May 2013 the application had been approved and the contract activated. I was informed that I would be able to collect the phone once number porting has been completed which would take 24 hours according to the consultant.

To date, 3 days have passed and the number has not been ported. Upon numerous attempts pf contacting the branch, I was informed that the port had been accepted and the branch is waiting on the porting process to be completed. I have requested for updates on the process and received no responses.

I do not see why I have to wait this long for a number to be ported when another service provider can approve an application, activate a contract, perform a number port and deliver the phone within a period of 6 hours.

If the issue is not resolved soon, i will cancel my contract and join the service provider who can complete the entire process on the same day as application.
