Voided Warranty

These are my issues in point form, to save space:
-began experiencing probs with my 3RD refurbished 9780 BB (1st two replaced due to faulty software)
-It recently started to loses signal at random times, switch off on its own&shows memory cards been removed&then re-inserted over&over, without me even touching it
-Took it in to Eastgate Mall Voda on 15.03 and told i'd be notified of the tech report in a few days
-Received text on 20.05 saying repairs would cost me more than R2050
-i am NOT WILLING to accept as the handset is still within the warranty period
-i called 0821944 on 21.05, was told that my warranty was AUTOMATICALLY voided due the presence of physical damage on my handset&that i should contact repairs escalation centre
-I emailed repairs on 21.05, it took them 72HRS TO EVEN RESPOND&ANOTHER 48HRS before they called today&told me exactly the same thing
-The damage being referred to (slight crack on the LCD) occurred months ago&have never affected phone performance in any way
-Vodacom NOT EVEN WILLING TO FIND CAUSES OF ISSUES, just voided repair warranty&are sending phone back as is
Please can Vodacom provide me with a clearer explanation or provide assistance with this query??
