I have cancelled my contract in nov 2012 and im still being charged, and actually listed for a contract that i have cancelled. i have been maytimes in and out of MTN Direct and contacted the call centre.
it all started when i received a call from MTN sales, who offered a cellphone to me and said if i was not happy i should return it within 7 working days., so i was not happy with the phone and went into MTN direct and handed the cellphone in with all its contents and box, and requested cancellation. a month later i still had a debit order going off my account, i taught that this was for the test calls and data i used on the cell phone, i then had another debit order going off. i then went back into MTN direct and explained the problem, the operator said the contract was not cancelled and she was had now cancelled it. my debit orders had stopped and i assumed that all was in order. when i applied for a bond i was declined due to a listing on my name by MTN. i then called the call centre who did not help me, then went back into MTN direct who up to date still cannot give me feedback. i called the call centre today (28 may 13) and apparently my contract is still not cancelled.
