Hi, I went to MTN 14th Ave, District Shopping Centre 14, Constantia Kloof on Saturday 18/05/2013 for 'n sim swap. The lady Joyce Mangwane issued me with a new simcard and advise me that it will be activated between the next 2 -24 hours. Well to my surprise when using the simcard it tells me "sim not provisioned 2"... huh? I did the swap as I was in the Constantia area. So this morning the problem still persisted so I went to MTN, President Square for assistance. They told me the simcard was faulty and that I had to go all the way back to Constantia Kloof to get another simcard. The manager clearly told me that's not how MTN operates. However they will issue me with a new simcard BUT I NEED TO PAY ANOTHER R136.80. What the is this? Why can't they re-issue me with a simcard as its MTN faulty not mine. Why can't they replace the sim and claim that back from Constantia or MTN??? Is this the way MTN operates??? So if I got the simcard in Cape Town this weekend and came back to JHB and found out it does not work, then I have to fly back to C/Town to replace the simcard. What the and bad MTN customer service is this?
