I upgraded my wife's phone on the 3rd of May 2013 from the talk 120s package to the Vodacom Smart M . My wife attended a meeting in another town and upon phoning her she informed me that her phone was blocked. I phoned Nashua mobile re this about half an hour ago and was informed that the phone had indeed been locked due to her exceeding her data bundle. I mentioned that I find this quite strange as she is allowed quite a lot of data on the Smart M package. I was then informed by the call centre operator that she is actually still on the Talk 120S package and that she will only be moved to the Smart M package on the 31st of July when the 24 months of her contract had expired!!! This is totally unacceptable to me and was never explained to me in this way. I have 5 other cellphone contracts with Vodacom and not once was this the case. If it had been mentioned to me that the new package will only kick in in 3 months time, I would have never upgraded with Nashua mobile. I request that this upgrade be done with effect 1 June 2013 and if not be cancelled. I will take this matter to the ombudsman if need be.
