I bought a groupon voucher to have my hair done at a salon called Tenacity in Glenwood. When the lady called to confirm my booking, she had failed to tell me that I will be required to print out the actual voucher. I was told all they needed was the security code and I had forwarded the voucher to the salon via e-mail. When I got there, for the appointment, they refused to do my hair without the voucher. They were not friendly or sympathetic - as this was not my fault. I had to leave and go find an internet cafe to print the voucher.
I had accepted and paid for a treatment which stipulated cut, wash and half head of highlights according to the advert. The lady then tried to charge me an additional R100 for toner for the highlights. I have never heard of a separate charge for toner, which is necessary for highlights. I told her, i want what was stipulated in the advert. And she said that Groupon has left out a whole lot of stuff, and it's not her fault. Being the only person of colour in the salon, the lady proceeded to complain about her dissatisfaction with groupon clients in Afrikaans to a fellow client. when she was finished the stylist just walked off and didnt bother.
