Incorrect information regarding new contract

On the 4th of January 2013 I applied for a new cell c cellphone contract. I was assisted by an agent Phindiwe Xaba who assured me that my application has been successful and completed. All i needed was to fax / email her a copy of my ID and payslip for company record - I emailed her the requested documents on Monday the the 7th. I was advised that my new handset would arrive within 5 days.

On the 11th of January I call to follow up on the delivery of my handset and to my surprise, the salesman (Warren) advised me that my payslip and ID had only been loaded onto the system on the 9th of January 2013 and is currently with the verification department.

In no way did Phindiwe advise me that my payslip and ID needed to go through a verification process which would take up to 5 days. She did however advise me on the 4th of January that my application had been approved and completed and that all she needs is a copy of payslip and ID to keep on record - not for verification purposes.

I emailed customer service at cell c on the 11th as well as the 16th of January and not one person has replied to any of mails.
