Cell C Direct Application

I currently have a MTN contract, which ended last October, now on a Month to Month. I called Cell C as I wanted to port my number there as they are the most affordable service provider. Lungani was the first to capture my details & for over 45 minutes we were on the phone, at my cost to process, he said the Iphone 5 was out of stock & would be about 2 weeks. He also said that once I have my SIM we can apply for the port.
After 3 weeks no phone, again I contact Cell C, Tsepho assists, says the contract was cancelled as my surname doesn't match. We figure out that Lungani spelt it incorrectly- he didn't bother to let me know... so for another 45 minutes we process again, at my cost. I ask about the port & he says the same thing, wait for SIM & we can port. Finally the phone arrives I try contacting the Call Centre-no joy via telephone, SMS, or Email. I go into a store & the check there is a number already assigned. I don't want a new number
On top of the absolute regret of considering Cell C, overwhelming anger & frustration, I actually am completely at a loss of what to do next. Right now, I want to cancel the whole contract, drop the phone off at a store & forget Cell C completely.
