Poor Customer service

I have a problem buying data bundles from my phone i called vodacom call centre for assistance, they gave me different options on how to do it but all of them did not work. it has been a week trying to load data bundles with no success, finally they told me to call the data department which they told me that i have to register on the vodacom website and they said its for FREE, well i went on the website to try and register but now my airtime that i put on my simcard to buy data bundles is being used and i was told that its for FREE, now i had no airtime to use to buy my data bundles and on the web page there is a message that said they are sending u a link to ypur email adress to confirm your details and if u dont do that in 24hrs you have to start all over again, but really how can you go to your e-mail adress whiles you dont have data bundles to use the internet. i called vodacom data deparment to tell them that i was told that the website was for free, and now the tell me that it will charge u if you are using airtime, why was i not told that information at the first call they gave me a ref no. S3-TP23j and that they will call me after 24hr they assured me but till today nothing.
