I have my son on a Blackberry BIS Talk 240 contract with a R50 limit in place. Last month his talk time was suspended due to the R50 limit being reached due to data usage outside BIS. This month it has been suspended (we are only on the 6th of May) due to the allegation he has reached the R50 limit through sms usage.

I accept the data usage last month and await to see the sms usage over the first 6 days of this month - but this is not my point. If data or sms usage exceeds the self imposed limit why is the voice also suspended? I PAY FOR 240 MINUTES regardless of sms and data usage. Vodacom should suspend sms and data (outside BIS) but allow voice to continue. Failure to do so is blackmail at best and at worst. I have after all paid for 240 minutes of talk time.

The excuse that this is the way that the system operates is no excuse at all. The system operates this way to profit Vodacom. I request that Vodacom should suspend sms and data (outside BIS) when over the call limit is reached (it is called a 'call limit' on Vodacom's website but never mind) but allow voice to continue until it has reached the PAID for airtime i.e the 240 minutes.
