I had the misfortune of landing on a treadmill next to a fellow VA member and a very loud-mouthed VA staff member on Monday evening. For 17 minutes, I had to listen to these individuals having a completely friendly "screaming match" at one another oblivious to anyone around them, until I could no longer take the noise and removed myself to the furthest treadmill away from them.
I appreciate that VA clients/members should have access to VA staff members should they require any assistance (which is a topic on its own as I personally have never been offered assistance by any VA staff member), but what I fail to accept is that a VA staff member could have a personal conversation with a club member for as long (and as loud) as Mobula(?) did without taking the interests of other members into account. I lodged a complaint at the front desk on Monday evening and was told that the manager on duty, a gentleman by the name of Frans, was not available to speak to me but that he would call me to discuss my concerns. Not only do I think that it is poor service delivery for a manager on duty not to be available at all times, but 2 days on and I still haven't heard from the club. Disappointing.
