I have always been blown away by the brilliant service of Virgin Active and I have always given them 12/10 when they called me and asked me how I would rate the service I am getting at VA Claremont.
When I signed up as a member I was informed that part of my contract is that should I want to change gyms for a weekend or a couple of days, I would be able to just make a call, switch gyms and then switch back. When travelling for business I would then switch my membership to a VA close to the hotel I would be staying. I always thought that is is brilliant as Virgin Active does not lose money as I always switch membership to a club with less facilities (which would therefore be cheaper than my membership fee at VA Claremont).
When travelling for business last week I was informed that there would going forward there would a fee of R124 to switch clubs going forward.
I am very disappointed in this new arrangement as now it feels as if Virgin Active only wants to make more money out of me rather than accommodate me as a valued member.
