I signed a two year contract with Virgin Active as my contract was coming to a end I sent a email to the club manager of the Beacon Bay Branch requesting the cancellation of my contract on the 19th December 2013.As I know Virgin Active does not inform you that your contract is coming to a end it just continues. I then phone the Virgin Active Head office in Cape town to confirm that the contract was cancelled and that no further fees will be deducted. I was told that it has been cancelled and that no further funds will be deducted on my account. The gentleman could even tell me when the email was sent to Beacon Bay requesting the cancellation. I was happy that the contract was cancelled and that no further fees would be deducted as I have heard of so many cases where they just continue deducting funds. Today the 2nd January a debit order has gone off for Virgin Active after I was informed that the debit order has been cancelled by Virgin Active Head office. I am a student and can not afford the fees that have increased. This is disappointing service from Virgin Active. As I phoned the Head office to confirm that this contract was cancelled and I was assured I was cancelled
