After 5 months of being closed for renovations, Planet Fitness opened its doors again on 11 November, but without informing any members that the opening time had been unilaterally changed from 4am to 5am. From 6am in the morning the gym is mayhem with so many people. People who train seriously or have to travel far to work, go to gym between 4 and 4.30 so that can get a proper workout before leaving the gym at 6.
Planet Fitness started out as a 24 hour gym and has gradually reduced its opening hours, and changed the conditions of their contracts without informing or getting approval from members. They did this 2 years ago, and after a huge outcry from members, they reverted to 4am opening time. Now they are trying to slip it in again without informing members. When will they learn?
