My mom opened a V-Club membership for my daughter last year. When I joined the gym, I requested for the membership to be transferred under my name. The consultant said the membership would be cancelled from my mom and re-opened to me. So I paid the joining fee as she said no forms were needed. I received a new card but it was not activated. Front desk said the V-Club membership was pending. The consultant assured me it was just a technical delay. Meanwhile the account is still being billed to my mom ad my daughter was no longer attending the club. Again I went back t the consultant to ask about the membership out of frustration and anger. She said there was nothing she could do, as the membership was still under my mom. The account was now in arrears. We called the accounts dept who were not able to help us clear the matter and went back to Bluff VA. This time the manager listened to our story and said if we paid the outstanding amount on the account, she would cancel the membership. I was asked to write a cancellation note on a random piece of paper and did not receive any confirmation of the action. Later, my mom also cancelled the membership but she is still being billed.
