In April 2013 Planet Fitness started deducting R285 of my bank account. Now this would be fine if I actually had a gym contract with them! I don't!!! Got the bank to reverse the charges and have had to do so every month since.
Now they are not just deducting the monthly debit order but also the arrears amount!
Tried for about 2 weeks to get hold of someone at head office. Filled in the contact me form on their website twice.
Finally after many annoying hours of listening to the phone ringing, someone answered the phone. I got through to their legal department who eventually managed to tell me that I am paying for a member at the Benoni club! I don't know this man. Was supposed to send them an email but when I sent the email it was undeliverable.
Next resort, phoned the Benoni club. Spoke to the club manager. She phoned me back to confirm the banking details loaded on the system. They were mine!!! Only difference was that on their system this was a savings account. She said she would pull the original contract and sort this out. Never heard from them again.
Guess what, a month later and another debit order has just gone of my bank account.
I am so sick of this!!
