I moved from Hazeldean Virgin active (VA) to another VA branch, when I did so my monthly payment decreased by quite some amount. When I asked VA why they said it's because of the gym's size... After quite some time I moved back to the silver lakes area and was forced to go back to VA hazeldean. Only to find that I have to pay almost R200 more for a SMALLER gymnasium with limited equipment. The weights area is almost the size of a living room. Cable equipment's weights aren't lubricated so the weights stick together. When I phoned VA and asked about the price increase they said it's because of size... But no, actually it's because of the area. More money means higher rates. I wouldn't mind the rates if there was proper space to train.
