What's going on now?

I contacted the Virgin Active Call Centre on the 22nd to request that my membership be cancelled.

The call center agent assured me I did not have to produce anything in writing and she would cancel membership, she assured me my account would be debited with an amount of R300 odd something rands (pro- rata), and I have access to the gym until June 20th.

I have had my full monthly fee deducted from my account, and no written confirmation from Virgin Active assuring me that my membership's been cancelled. I have never had issues with Virgin Active before and never thought to take down the agent's details, Now this happens.

Can somebody from Virgin Active please tell me what's going on.
