Store card application has taken 3 months

I applied for a Woolworths store card in January, when I submitted a hand-completed form to my nearest branch (Hyde Park). After not hearing back from them for about 3 weeks, I decided to submit an online application in case the hard copy application had been lost. This was around the end of January. On the 24th of February I followed up with them by emailing Woolworths customer services. I had still received no response or even acknowledgement of my application. I received an email response on the 12th of March with an apology and a note that they were "inundated with emails". They asked for my ID number and I replied, asking what the status of my application was. I only received a response from them on the 9th of April. Nosiphiwo Ndamane from the customer contact center said that my application had been preapproved, but that it had been thrown out because I hadn't answered my phone when they had phoned me (whenever that had been). I am now still waiting to hear back from her about the status of my application, but I have decided that I don't want a Woolworths store card anymore.
