Appaling treatment

I went to game to buy a pack of cigarettes, waited in a que for about 20 minutes to do so. Upon leaving the store the security guard stamps and signs my receipt as per usual. The security guard then demands to search my backpack under the guise of it being a security checkpoint, I was highly offended by this and refused. The security then summons the manager who also rudely insists that my backpack be searched. I asked them what the reason or suspiscion was that was bringing this about as I had seen several people leaving the store withoiut being searched, I was then dismissively told that their "bags were different", in what way, I will never know. I refused to let them search my backpack as if I was a common criminal, I then requested to see the store policy or a sign that warns me that I might be subjected to such an embarrasing situation to which the manager replied that he would call the centre security to come and search me. I told the manager that he could call the commisioner of the SAPS if he wanted to but i felt offended and violated by what was transpiring. I relented to save time but did not appreciate being treated like that, If this is policy then stuff game.
