My 20year old brother was looking for a job when he got a response from a company called Radiant Marketing. I googled the company and found that their website was one made from a free webpage designing site and had no real information besides address and a telephone number.
My brother, eager to work, went ahead through a series of interviews and then training for a week. He was tasked with selling cellphone insurance for Hollard at Game stores around Cape Town (Kenilworth Centre Cavendish, Cape Town cbd etc) Because they were working at Game I assumed they were a legit company. They claimed to pay staff weekly... from the 4th week of work (apparently the first 3 weeks are on job training). So my brother worked and got paid weekly for 3 weeks... he then continued working and they didn't pay at all after that.
Their working hours were ridiculous, starting at 6h30am in Claremont and then working all day to 6h30pm in the evening. Traveling expenses etc but yet NO PAY??? After not getting paid for an entire month my brother left the job last week... along with a couple of other young people who had worked 6 weeks or more without getting paid a cent!!!
