I have a MR Price account however I got mugged and my card was taken. I then moved overseas for 18 months and on my return I contacted Mr Price head office and asked how I can get a new card and they told me I can go to any Mr Price store with my ID book and a new card would be issued. NOTHING was mentioned about me needing to know my old account number.
I then drove all the way to the West rand from Douglasdale as I know they have a huge Mr Price sport there. Since moving back I needed quite alot of things, so I bought swimming things, gym things, bags etc, amounting to over R1000.
When I got to the counter, I told them what head office had told me. She just stared at me. I then asked to call someone who knew what was going on. The manager or whoever she was - she didnt have a name badge on- said she can't give me a new card with no old card number. I told her to look it up. She said I had been removed from the system - head office didn't mention this - and I hadn't cancelled my card.
The attitude, tuttering to one another in a language I didn't understand and general i don't give a... attitude was revolting.
Worst service. They didn't care that they were losing a sale.
