My colleagues and I use the Marina Kwikspar on a daily basis. On numerous occasions we have found that we never receive the 5 cents that is due as our change. Upon questioning the various tellers, as they all seem to not give you the 5 cents, they explained that they did not receive 5 cents from the bank. About 2 months later, this seems to be the same issue. We approached the manager of Marina Kwikspar today to question this unethical act of customers and he mentioned the following: 5 cents will stop circulation soon, the systems at Spar will be adjusted so that change die to a customer will be rounded to the nearest 10 cent. He mentioned if your change is R10.05, the system will round this to R10.00. I would like to mention the following, if the circulation of 5 cents is going to be stopped, shouldn't this be broadcasted to the public? Marina KwikSpar seems to have taken thismatter upon themselves to implement this "new rule" that nobody else seems to be aware of.By the systems being changed to "round off", is this still not but done in a different way where it just doesn't reflect on your till slip? Please do not rob loyal customers that support this store.
