The customer refused to have his items checked by the security guard on his way out of the store. The security guard was busy checking another customer's items when the customer by passed the security point, instead of waiting in line. The security guard attempted to stop him in order to check his goods. In this time the manager was called to the front of the store and explained to the customer that it is the security guard's job to check all goods leaving the store.

The customer said to the manager that he didn't have his goods checked at our other branches or at other shops. He asked the manager why our Centurion branch does not check the goods and the manager's response was that the Pretoria store is a busier store that needs a full time security guard. He then said that he didn't want his purchase checked and that we must pass a credit on his purchase. The manager said if that is what he would like then we would do it; and the customer agreed.
