Hi-Fi Corporation
Breach of contract

We took out a Vodacom contract on 15 Dec 2012 at Hi Fi Corp. We cancelled the contract and gave the phone and microchip (0798921216) back on 18 Dec 2012, after neither HiFi Corp nor Vodacom could port my old number. We were led to believe that cancellation within 7 days would not result in penalties, due to the SA Consumer Protection Act. Asked for a photocopy of the cancel slip from HiFi corp and we still have it in our possession.

High Fi Corporation emailed Vodacom (their Trade Partner) for reversal to be done on 19 Dec 2012. We have copies of the Email

No correspondence/communication were received from Vodacom. We did however receive invoices for the contract monies from Vodacom for December and January.

When we, the customer contacted Vodacom, they referred us back to HiFi Corporation

We have phoned and/or went to see HiFi Corporation at least 8 times and they made promises to ensure cancellation of the contract and repayment of deducted contract fees, but have received no communication whatsoever from either HiFi Corporation or Vodacom.
We have phoned 0821958 (Vodacom's Contract cancellation line), but get no feedback

The number is 0798921216

Thanks for your time
