I visited your Canalwalk store on 1st feb 2013 to buy a few items. There was no1 on the floor to assist us in 2 departments. After some time i asked a cashier for a manager - whom was paged but never arrived. We finally received some assistance from a gentleman in the sports dept as there was no1 else. This is very disappointing that a manager cannot be bothered to even turn up to attend to a complaint. We completed our purchases and left.
Then last night, 12 feb 2013 i visited you Vangate store. The tills were closed and we redirected to customer service to make payment. 2 tills were open but the one lady was busy with a long query and the second lady then proceeded to start to wrap some items as gifts, leaving me and 5 other customers just standing there. i again asked for the manager - named Insaaf to complain but the staff did not even page her. We just left being very disappointed.
Why are your staff not interested in helping customers? Edgars has never been as poor with service in the past. The Canalwalk sales person claimed that its due to low staff levels. The prices are not lower? Why should the consumer suffer for internal issues?
