Genesis Advanced Steam Iron (poor quality)

On 02.11.2012; I purchased an advanced steam iron from the Verimark Store @ Game Cresta. The iron was no longer in a working condition. The person responsible for the ironing informed me that the sole plate stuck to my track pants. This resulted in my track pants been destroyed and left a residue on the iron which had to be removed. My complaint is that I paid R 599.99 in good faith based on the reliability of this product whereby it was not supposed to scorch any material. This is obviously a false advertising statement as I have a burnt track pants to prove it. During my request to have the iron repaired a rude Verimark Employee simply ignored my request of having a new iron. I did not have a problem having the iron repaired but I had an issue whereby there is currently no iron @ home. I was particularly unhappy when he interrupted while I was trying to explain my circumstance to him with a remark of "listen to me here"; is that how to speak to a customer? He later called Vincent his in store Manager and he once again said he will have to go into the office on 12.02.2013 and find out if he could supply me with a new iron or not. Sent a complaint on website - no response received.
