I have been dealing with Renee since Thursday 10 January with regards to the travelling arrangements from South Africa. First she only needed the crate dimensions and Pet weight to enable her to do the pricing. Then this morning, after being to the Vet for the required VHC Certificate, on our way to the State Vet for the Export permit i phoned her to inquire when pricing will be done. I was then told that she needs all the official documentation in order to arrange pricing. After hearing this, i was very firm and asked her why she did not tell me she needed this to do the pricing. Well it all went down hill from there. I lost my temper when she said that i never asked for her for all the information that was required by them. To add insult to injury she then starting texting me to tell me how rude and arrogant i was. I do have screenshots of the whole discussion. Never in my life have i been treated this badly as a client and i would, as any reasonable person, require the freight forwarder who should know the industry to actually explain the system to me. She assumed that it was my pet and therefore made the conclusion, all by herself, that i knew how the system works.
I have never exported a pet from South Africa. On speaking to other freight forwarders i know that no export document or any other information is required to only get pricing. Yes, i know they must have it as they are managing the pet on your behalf. But only after the flight arrangements has been made and the pet is ready to be shipped.
I am utterly shocked at her lack of knowledge of the freight forwarding industry, as well as arrogance
in assuming that i have done this before . Not to mention her persistence in texting me.
