MAKRO/LG TV FAULTY

I bought my TV in 2010 for R13000.00 and it just died last year on the 16th Dec 2012, took it to Makro and I am told I have to pay R11454.96 to repair??? Makro is saying LG says it's out of warranty. I believe Makro sold me a default product from LG and should be fighting on my behalf to fix it. I bought LG because it's a good product and I have an LG TV that still perfectly an it was bought in 2002.

Can somebody at Makro please contact LG and sort this thing out? I am not paying R11454.96 to repair a TV that is as good as buying a new TV. I bought LG for so much because I thought it was trusted product and I will not have to stress about buying a TV for at least another 10 years.
