So i went to Pep- cell in wonderpark mall and bought a new phone there on friday. I was told to charge the battery for 8 hours when i get home and that the phone only takes MTN sim cards. When i got home i removed the new sim card and put mine(MTN) in but when i tried to switch it on, i couldnt, it just remained dead. I thought maybe it was the battery and i charged it but still nothing was happening.
I put their sim card back on and packed it back in the box to be returned to the shop tomorrow. On saturday morning i went back to the shop with the phone and the whole package. I explained everything and thought i will be given a new phone as i didnt use that one. They took the phone, inspected it, tried to charge it and they were also surprised as to why is it not working as it is SUPPOSED to be a new phone.
I then demanded a new phone, they refused, i then demanded my money back, they still refused and they told me that they will have to book it in for repairs and that will only happen after 7 days.What kind of a policy is that?? Why are they refusing to give me my money back because clearly they sold me a damaged phone? I DONT WANT that phone, i want a new phone or my money back!!!
