My Edgars account card was lost/misplaced (my fault)
Went to Edgars store at Hemmingways, East London for replacement. My ID was sufficient enough to be issued with a new card, but the assistant could not locate my account using my ID, name or address, therefore could not give me the new card. I do not have a print of my account as it it delivered electronically so did not have the account number. My wife also has a card linked to my account - using her name and ID also failed to locate my account which we have had for over 30 years with Edgars.
It boggles the mind to think that in this day and age with all our modern technologies that some procedures are so antiquated. What concerns me is if my Edgars card is, I would have to first find my account number before the card could be cancelled. It seems they cannot locate your account by just your ID and/or address.
