Myself and another customer were conned and robbed of our handbags with alot of money and goods in an edgars store in Springs avenues. The one lady posed as a staff member dressed in all black clothes and had a edgars badge on her identifying herself as edgars staff. The other lady posed as an edgars customer. The pretended in assisting and helping us in the store. Once we realised that we were conned and the ladies robbed us we ran to the security to assist. He informed us that he noticed the ladies running and didnt think anything, but would be able to identify them. When we asked to see the footage of the cameras in the store we were informed by the store manager that the cameras does not work. The questions and complaints that I have is how can people pose as staff members in a well known store as edgars. Does the security not notice that the lady is not a staff member. How easy is it to obtain an edgars identification badge. Why is the cameras of such a big organisation not working. Why wasnt there more securities around if the cameras werent working. Incident report only report once my family members insisted a report being done to. Why? How many customers robbed?
