I have purchased a Defy fridge (details below) on 12 July 2010. Since I have the fridge I have had to call the Springfield repair centre about 3 or more times within the guarantee to come sort out the fridge. Then it was freezing too much in the freezer and the draws were breaking when we were opening them. Then there was the rubbers on the doors that were cracked and the ice build up on the back of the fridge. Now the fridge is not cooling in the fridge part yet the freezer is over freezing. My fridge is suppose to be a frost free fridge and it keeps building up ice if we turn up the temperature. If I keep it on 4 or 5 its not cool enough and my stuff are getting spoilt and the fridge is leaking.
I bought it brand new from HIFI Corp. It is not possible for it to just give up within months of purchase and still giving problems within 3 years of purchase.
A defy technician came to check the fridge and advised us that the unit cannot be repaired as the fridge is delaminating.
