From Bad Service to Worse Service

I purchased sandals at Cape Union Mart Bayside on Sunday 29th Dec then walked to Edgars to buy running shoes for my wife. This was the second time she had attempted to buy shoes at this store. A sign in the shoe dept reads "Please ask for assistance for your size." We looked around & for the 2nd time there was no one to assist. We asked a member of the security staff who found someone from the clothing department who knew nothing about shoes. While she was opening boxes we had already looked in ignoring our insistence that the shoes were not there but had come from another shelf, the bag containing my R550 sandals was. I should have been more careful. We walked out of the store frustrated, I thinking my wife had my sandals, she that I had them. We immediately returned to the shoe dept in the store & looked for assistance. Eventually Tohier came to assist us. We asked him to check the CCTV footage. After 30 mins he returned to say he was still working on it & 30 mins later he informed us the CCTV hadn't been working for 2 weeks. Why was there no one to assist? Why was there no CCTV? Why did it take an hour to tell us that? Such terrible service and disinterest is appalling.
