I went to have my wheel alignment done. The "mechanic" supposedly did the alignment and then told me he would have to melt and bend some of the metal parts to do the alignment properly. He also told me that my shock mountings were finished. I had to pay for the "alignment" that he did and told him I would come back when I have money for the other problems.
I rather took my car to a specialist wheel alignment centre in Pretoria. They aligned the wheels in 5 minutes with no need to "melt and bend" anything. They tested my shocks on one of those bouncing machines and it was perfect. To top it all they found that a nut on one of my wheel arms was completely loose which is very dangerous (it could have been only extreme negligence on the part of TWT but I have my suspicions). My car is driving like a dream again.
I will never support TWT again. Why on earth do they need to have salesmen getting commission to tell you that your car is broken? Either it is broken or it is not - I don't want someone earning commission to tell me what he wants me to hear. Obviously this will attract liars and to work in these places.
