My fiance and I were at American Swiss yesterday to look for wedding rings. When we asked for assistance the staff was willing to help but when we started asking questions about the ring they could not answer. We found it astonishing that American Swiss staff has NO idea what the clarity and colour of diamonds mean. We wanted to know what the particular ring's clarity was and he gave us (with an attitude!) the diamond SIZE!! When we asked for colour they did not know what we were talking about! I really thought that jewellers' staff would be trained! It is probably the most important to know. We realised that we were more informed about their OWN products than the American Swiss staff themselves and that just is unacceptable. American Swiss will never see me again and I will make sure that my friends and family knows about the uneducated staff.
