I ventured into Sportsmans Warehouse Pavilion to buy my boyfriend boxing gloves. (Unfortunately Game Pavilion didn't have the correct size although the exact gloves were R100 cheaper there and the staff were helpful and welcoming.) I don't know if it was stock take but the place was deserted.
When I walked to the till to pay the teller she didn't look at me or say a word (perhaps she was a deaf mute? Although her friend's attitude didn't give me that impression.) She looked rather irritated that I was bothering her, shame on me of course! At the end of the transaction I asked if she had a packet as she'd just left the gloves on the table. In response I received an icy stare. Still not a word! I will certainly never return to them again. Their customer service was absolutely shocking.
