I bought a DSTV PVR Decoder from Hifi Corp in Jan'13.The unit has been given me so much problems... freezing that you have 2 unplug, take smart card out & in & plugging in again. It switches off (resets) by itself. Doesn't always record all scheduled recordings & the latest, recorded something else after selecting 2 record a certain programme. The name is my selected programme, but when I want 2 watch it, its something else. Ive phoned the branch numerous times. Always speaking 2 the b/manager & he always tells me the same thing. Bring it in, they'll send it away. I took it 2 multichoice directly. There they "resetted" something. The unit still gives problems. I paid R2000 for the unit at Hifi Corp. Its still under warranty. I phone when its not working. I take it in 2 Multichoice, otherwise I loose out on programmes coz if the branch sends it, it takes longer. Ive had ENOUGH with this unit. I bought it at Hifi Corp. They must bare the credit problem with multichoice, not me. Ive been complaining... soon my unit is out of warranty, then what! Its 1 thing 2 SAY you have a warranty, but its another thing 2 keep 2 your sale ethics when something gives problems & need replacement.
