Just a week after openning, Shoprite U-Save at Makanye (Turfloop), were already selling rotten meat. I Bought Beef for R63, 90 which had expired 2 days back. I asked the guy who works for butchery as to why are they still keeping rotten meet on the display fridge he told me to look for better meat and leave the rotten one for those who do show off.
Well, if your customers eat expired meat, i dont. The butchery manager rest- assured me that it would never happen again.
on the 20th, Ocbober 2013 i went to U-Save again, i bought 2 x chickens for R31, 50 and R33, 89 which had expired on the 19th October. this is unacceptable.
I am so disspointed in your butchery management because they seem to not care what customers eat and buy. We really work so hard for our money, but buying rotten meat at a reputable company like Shoprite U-Save? I think your butchery staff need to know that selling rotten meat to consumers is very dangerous as this might cause serious illness,
next time i go shopping am gonna take a food inspector with me. I am looking forward to a good healthy shopping next time i come there, and yes, i need a refund i money i paid your totten meat with.
