I am very distressed due to the fact that I applied for a loan at a financial institution and was informed that an outstanding amount of R55.00 is due to Edgars which reflects on my credit record even though this account was settled in full and closed on the 30th of September 2012. I phoned the Edgars Accounts department immediately and was informed that the account was indeed settled and closed in September 2012. They could however not give me a reason why I was listed as a bad payer on ITC. I find this totally unacceptable and am disgusted with the fact that it was never brought to my attention that there is a negative listing on my credit record and that it was not cleared after the account was settled. There is no way I will even consider opening an Edgars account again and will in future think twice before purchasing anything from them as I would rather take my business elsewhere.
