The Deli / Franchise service at the Shoprite Bothasig is really pathetic. This is my second time that I purchase from them Old Fish / Ou Vis! The first time, about a month ago I purchase a piece of lovely looking fried Hake, only to discover once I got to work, that it had been fried in batter at least three or four times. The batter on the Hake was so thick, I could clothe someone in Anartica with it. Today, 10 October 2013, I had another fish craving, regardless of the bad experience before, I decided to give them another try. And to my dismay, the Snoek I bought today was OLD as well. It had a very light batter, but the fish was so dry, the meat crumbed & the color was somewhat brown, the fish was so dry baked / or it stood over from the previous days, the birds in our complex don't even want to eat it. Really, people pay good money for quality products, besides the rising economy, good products and services should never go out of style. Sies Shoprite Bothasig, julle verkoop OU VIS aan die mense en julle skaam julle nie eens nie! I dare anyone to walk into the Bothasig Shoprite and buy a piece of fish, bet you won't find a fresh piece amidst the lot!
