I had an account with mr price for several years, which were then handed over to the legal department or some independent company. In 2012 they contacted me to say that I still have an amount due, which I then paid in instalments. I phoned them and requested the settlement amount, which was about R300. I then settled that amount & requested a settlement letter, but to date they didn't send me one. Now a few months later they phone again to say that there is again an amount of R352 due (settlement amount)!! They never closed the account and now they expected me to pay that amount again. After a few fights I paid that amount this month and asked them for a letter. AGAIN I AM STILL WAITING FOR MY LETTER!! I then phoned them to ask them where my letter is and guess what they said??? There's an amount of R2-88 outstanding! The people told me that I only owe them R352 & that's the amount that I paid, now they expect me to pay the R2-88 also before they can send me a letter! How many times do they want me to pay this account, before they actually assist me in closing this?? I did my part by SETTLING this account TWICE, but I'm still waiting for them to assist me in this!!!
